The song of Achilles – Madeline Miller

I really enjoyed reading «Circe» by Madeline Miller, so I decided to read her take on the Trojan War and explore more Greek mythology. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy this book as much. The relationship between the main character, Patroclus, and Achilles didn’t resonate with me; it felt too melodramatic and one-dimensional. Additionally, the writing style and the abrupt structure of the chapters didn’t draw me in. I still like the genre of historical fiction and the greek mythology, which made the book interesting enough for me to finish, but it didn’t capture my curiosity about this new world like «Circe» did.
